She’s one crazy lady – Glennis Hooper

Introduction

Glennis Hooper, the founder of Crazy Hats Breast Cancer Appeal, has recently released a book aptly titled ‘She’s One Crazy Lady.’

This heartfelt book takes readers on an inspiring journey through Glennis’ life, from her personal battles, health struggles, gains and successes before and after her life-changing breast cancer diagnosis.

From Diagnosis to a Charitable Vision

Motivated by her own experiences and a desire to improve breast cancer care services, she had an idea. The concept was to encourage individuals to don crazy hats to work or school, raising much needed funds for the NHS.

What began as small charity in 2001 has grown into an extraordinary movement. During its twenty-year history, Crazy Hats has raised an incredible £3.4 million. This fundraising has enabled significant improvements in breast cancer care services across Northamptonshire and Leicestershire.

This book showcases the evolution of this small charity into a beacon of hope, inspiring others to believe in the power of collective action and compassion.

Inspiring Others

The personal narrative told in ‘She’s One Crazy Lady’ aims to extend its impact far beyond the pages. Glennis’ memoir offers solace and support to the millions affected by breast cancer and to promote open, honest conversations.

“I cannot thank you and everyone and Page Bros enough for your hard work and help on this project. The end result looks fantastic and you have gone above and beyond with the video and photos. Please pass on our thanks to all. You’ve been amazing.”
