We’re proud to work with the Shhhh Collective on ‘The Beginner’s Guide to Norwich’
You can trace our history as printers in Norwich back to 1746. We’re proud of our heritage and very proud of the city.
So when the opportunity arose to work with the Shhhh Collective, we were thrilled. Here was a group of creative professionals, as enthusiastic about Norwich as we are, wanting to promote the city to newcomers through ‘The Beginner’s Guide to Norwich’.
The Shhhh Collective is a local design agency and brand consultancy. Formed eight years ago, some of their creative staff are natives; many of them came to study at the UEA and NUA then stayed because they love it here.
They could see that Norwich is a great place to live and work, but that new arrivals perhaps don’t realise how much is going on here. Out of that came the inspired idea for a beginner’s guide.
Norwich is constantly evolving. It’s steeped in history but packed with arts and culture, pubs and places to eat, independent retailers and businesses, and officially one of the friendliest places in the country! But when you’re new here – or even not so new – how do you discover all of that?
The Shhhh Collective decided that they would compare notes every year and compile a guide that listed the best places to ‘eat, drink, play, shop, party, sleep and heal in the city’. It’s aimed at people of all ages, and just as useful if you’re here on a visit or if you’re planning to stay a lifetime.
Dedicated as they are to local business and talent, they wanted the production of the guide to be homegrown, which is where we came in. Working closely with the Collective, we’ve used our latest printing techniques to bring their exciting project and stunning designs to life.
The Beginner’s Guide to Norwich is out! You can pick up a copy at the UEA, Jarrolds, Waterstones or local, independent outlets.
We’re thrilled to be involved with this project. It’s a perfect recipe. Locally grown ingredients. A big helping of local talent, mixed with innovative thinking, great design work and high quality printing. All of it topped off with some real love and enthusiasm for the fine city of Norwich.
