Role Title: Mailing Line Operator
Responsible to: Production Shift Manager
Responsible for: In time you will be responsible for the supervision of Mailing Line Assistants on shift.
Pay: £322.58 to £578.58 per week (dependent on shift patterns, skills and experience)
Hours: Early and Late Day Shift (Nights at Peak times throughout the year)

Role Overview: As a Mailing/Bagging Line Operator, you will be one of the lead operators producing high quality Bagged packs within the Page Bros Production Department. Wrapping and packaging of completed product in accordance with written instructions. You will be responsible for ensuring jobs are finished within set deadlines for despatch, maintaining the company’s quality control procedures, identifying any non-conforming goods and keeping your work area clean and tidy.
With experience in a similar role (desirable) you will demonstrate your ability to effectively deal with a high volume of work at peak times. You will manage your time effectively, with a methodical working style. Concentration and attention to detail to deliver work to deadlines are essential requirements of the role.
You will be available to work with flexibility on a variety of shifts, including nights at peak times.
You will have the opportunity to make a difference by working closely with the established team. You will bring a ‘can-do’ attitude and will be approachable with excellent communication skills.
Role Purpose 1:
Setting up and running of the bagging line, major and minor adjustments, filling machine and shutdowns.
Inkjet start-up, shut down and maintaining the cleaning procedure.
Run auxiliary equipment to include inkjet, glue machines, conveyors, scales and stacker.
Follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Wrapping and packaging of completed product in accordance with written instructions.
Maintain proper housekeeping, health and safety at the packaging line.
Participate in the team effort to improve performance.
Making sure assistants are used effectively throughout the whole shift.
Role Purpose 2:
Ensure a high standard of housekeeping paying particular attention to your immediate work area, ensuring the floor is swept, the area is free of debris and machines and surfaces are wiped over and cleaned on a daily basis.
Identify any repair and maintenance requirements to your Line Manager.
Assist colleagues during quieter times to improve the appearance of the department to ensure a professional environment is created and maintained.
Role Purpose 3:
Quality & Standards
Identify and report quality concerns, seeking advice and guidance from your Line Managers and other operators to troubleshoot problems to avoid spoilage and create the best possible.
Maintain accurate quality and production records using Prolog, Imprint and other bespoke or standard reporting systems.
Provide additional reports and information to your colleagues as requested.
Seek constant improvement and apply best practices to all aspects of your role, attending and fully participating in training as required.
Abide by and support the company’s ISO 9001 Quality certificate.
Role Purpose 4:
Assist on alternative pieces of equipment (suitable to your skills and training) and other areas of the business as required to help meet organisational goals and to assist your colleagues.
Be open and flexible to provide additional capacity to cover holidays and other absence by working overtime offered where possible.
Assist and participate in the training and development of your colleagues, sharing your valuable skills, knowledge and experience.

Attend team meetings and One to Ones as requested by your line manager.
