Typesetting

Most work intended for print is now, of course, supplied to us as press-ready PDF files. However, there remains a definite need for the specialised technical typesetting that we offer; typically scientific and medical books and journals, tax and law looseleaf publications and directories - and, by its very nature, for the typesetting demanded by our security print clients. We utilise industry standard applications including 3B2, Quark Xpress and InDesign for page composition. For illustration work we use PhotoShop and Illustrator.

Where there are no special demands we use a number of off-shore sources. This route enables us to provide very competitive prices for data capture and page make-up.

We can deliver full-text SGML and XML for electronic publishing in conjunction with web-optimised PDF files and graphics to individual customers' specifications.
